Healthy Microwave Dinner Recipes in One Minute on Dr Oz Show
Dr Oz lose using alternative ingredients to help make the most tastiest of dinners to be more nutritious. During today's August 31 2012 show Dr Oz invited two fans who watch his show to share their quick and easy microwave recipes that are both nutritious and delicious. The women's names were Jessica and Barbara and listed below are their Cheesy Chicken Quesadillas, and Ginger Salmon Recipe.
Cheesy Chicken Quesadillas Recipe on Dr Oz August 31, 2012 Show :
Ingredients :
- 2 Chicken breasts (pre-cooked)
- 1/4 cup of extra virgin (cold pressed) olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of lime juice (freshly squeezed preferred)
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of Sea salt
- Black Pepper
- 1 can of black beans (drain the juice from the beans before you add to recipe)
- 1 cup of reduced fat mexican cheese (shredded)
- 1/4 cup of cilantro (chopped)
- 8 inch whole wheat tortillas
- Optional - Chopped avocado.. I love avocado's so this won't be optional for me! Plus they are very nutritious!
Add all the ingredients listed above on top of the 8 inch whole wheat tortilla. Microwave for 50 seconds... Delicious (and healthy) cheesy quesadilla roll up that is fast and easy! I can't wait to add this to my "need a meal fast" Mexican style recipes for when I'm on the go!
Ginger Salmon Recipe on Dr Oz :
I never really thought that you could make seafood in a microwave but after watching this recipe I may have to give this a try.. I know I should add more seafood to my diet but I never seem to find the time. This quick and easy Ginger Salmon recipe that was shared on Dr Oz's August 31, 2012 should be a great option for when you don't have a lot of time for a nutritious dinner. Here are the ingredients that they listed on the show :
Ingredients :
- 8 ounces of salmon
- 5 slices of ginger
- 1 orange
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Thyme
- Cilantro (fresh cilantro preferred)
- 1 pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
- Orange wedge
Add the salmon to a microwave safe bowl. Add the ingredients listed above on top of the salmon. Squeeze the juice of an orange on top of the salmon. Place a hard plate on top of a microwave safe bowl rather than using plastic wrap. Microwave for 4 minutes.
